Duties, Responsibilities & Other
The Highway Permit Inspector will review, inspect, and process new street additions and county bond projects and additions; ensure permit work zones are designed and implemented properly and traffic control is maintained according to guidelines; and respond to citizens, elected officials, and local government officials regarding permit inquiries / concerns. Position will conduct on-site inspections for subdivision and permit projects; review site plans, special permits, rezoning requests, and land divisions; complete required paperwork to process permits and subdivision acceptance; and meet with applicants in the field, review project work zones, and review / determine bond estimates.
