Job Description Summary :

Prepare and deliver Philosophy courses, employing engaging, innovative, and discipline-appropriate methods that reflect a commitment to student success, an understanding of potential culturally biased teaching, and knowledge of the teaching field.

Teaching responsibilities will include face-to-face instruction and all distance learning modalities. Our faculty serve Community College students, including Dual Enrolled High School students. This position starts in August 2026.

Job Description :

ACC is one of the few community colleges in the nation to offer an associate's degree in Philosophy. Our Philosophy, Religion, and Humanities department is large and vigorous, serving students throughout the entire ACC District & Service Area.

The department provides students with critical thinking skills that have a broad range of applications in professional, social, and personal life. Courses cover a diverse group of questions and topics, spanning from classic investigations into the nature of reality, truth, and morality, to contemporary inquiries into freedom, identity, and justice.

Our students frequently transfer regionally to Texas State, the University of Texas, St. Edward's University, Southwestern University, as well as to many other quality institutions across the United States.

$70,870 - $96,197 (Based on a 10.5 month Contract to start Fall 2026)
