This is a hybrid role based in Burlingame, CA with the team working together in person 2 days per week. Must have : 8+ years of experience building UI for customer facing products. Experience with React + Next JS.

Role Description

As an early UI Engineer at Galileo, you will play a foundational role in designing, building, and scaling our products for AI reliability.

You will :

• Develop and maintain high-performance web applications : Design and implement responsive, scalable, and optimized web applications using Next.js, React, & TypeScript.
• Optimize for speed and efficiency : Focus on reducing load times, improving application responsiveness, and enhancing the user experience by employing techniques like code-splitting, lazy loading, and server-side rendering.
• Enhance code quality and maintainability : Write clean, modular, and well-documented code with attention to maintainability and scalability.
• Collaborate across teams : Work closely with backend developers, UI / UX designers, and product managers to deliver cohesive, user-centered applications.
• Troubleshoot and debug : Identify and resolve performance issues, memory leaks, and bugs to ensure application stability and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain CI / CD pipelines : Set up automated testing, build, and deployment processes to streamline the development workflow and maintain high code quality.
• Implement testing and quality assurance : Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using tools like Jest, Playwright, and React Testing Library to ensure code reliability and functionality.
