Non-Attorney Bodily Injury Desk Adjustor
The General, a subsidiary of Sentry Insurance, is currently seeking a Non-Attorney Bodily Injury Desk Adjustor to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for investigating and managing Bodily Injury claims. Key responsibilities include determining liability, gathering critical information, reviewing policy coverage, coordinating appraisals, and negotiation of fair claim settlements.
As a Non-Attorney Bodily Injury Desk Adjustor, you will :
- Investigate the origin and cause of claims by contacting the appropriate parties including insureds, claimants, agents, attorneys, contractors, experts, special investigation unit, other adjusters, public personnel, etc.
- Handle both 1st party and 3rd party Bodily Injury claims under multiple policy types and numerous endorsements.
- Interpret and determine policies, leases, by-laws, declarations, articles, and contract coverages and apply to all parties for assigned losses.
- Identify complex issues and seek assistance as needed. Handle claims on a good faith basis.
- Respond to customer inquiries, make appropriate decisions, and close file as needed.
- Proactively provide all parties with claim process and status as appropriate; answer questions or redirect to other areas.
What it Takes :
Ability to obtain and maintain state specific property and casualty claims licensing as required.Customer driven solutions, support, or service highly preferred.Solid knowledge and understanding of each phase of the claims handling process, or other equivalent knowledge.Experience handling moderately complex Bodily Injury claims.Experience handling 1st and 3rd party Bodily Injury Claims, multi-line claims across our operating territories.What You'll Receive :
