    \n \n\nAbout the Role\n\n

    We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our Early Intervention team. In this role, you’ll work with infants and toddlers (birth to age three) who have developmental delays or disabilities affecting movement and motor skills. The Physical Therapist will evaluate children’s gross motor abilities, create individualized treatment plans, and provide therapy in home and community settings.

    You’ll collaborate with caregivers and other professionals to promote functional mobility and developmental growth, while empowering families with strategies to support their child’s progress.

    \n\nResponsibilities\n\n \n\t

  • Evaluate and diagnose motor skill delays and physical development needs in young children

    \n\t

    \n\t

  • \n\t
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans

    \n\t

    \n\t

  • \n\t
  • Provide direct therapy through home- and community-based sessions

    \n\t

    \n\t

  • \n\t
  • Coach caregivers and provide family training to support progress at home

    \n\t

    \n\t

  • \n\t
  • Document therapy sessions, progress reports, and billing requirements accurately

    \n\t

    \n\t

  • \n\t
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and participate in IFSP meetings

    \n\t

    \n\t

  • \n\t
  • Stay current with Early Intervention policies, best practices, and professional development

    \n\t

    \n \n\nQualifications\n\n \n\t

  • \n\t
  • Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy (required)

    \n\t

    \n\t

  • \n\t
  • Active New York State PT License / Certification (required)

    \n\t

    \n\t

  • \n\t
  • Minimum 1,500 hours of pediatric experience with children under 5 (DOH approval requirement)

    \n\t

    \n\t

  • \n\t
  • Statewide Central Register clearance, Justice Center screening, and liability insurance

    \n\t

    \n\t

  • \n\t
  • Knowledge of NYC Early Intervention Program (EIP) policies and procedures

    \n\t

    \n\t

  • \n\t
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

    \n\t

    \n\t

  • \n\t
  • Bilingual (English / Spanish) strongly preferred

    \n\t
