About the Role :
We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead field operations for large-scale multifamily developments in the Sarasota area. This is a full-time opportunity with a reputable general contractor recognized for delivering high-quality, on-time, and well-coordinated projects. The Superintendent will be responsible for managing all day-to-day construction site activities, supervising subcontractors, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining project schedules and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead all on-site construction operations for multifamily projects from groundbreaking through closeout.
- Coordinate daily activities of subcontractors, suppliers, and field staff to ensure efficient progress.
- Maintain detailed project schedules, monitor progress, and provide accurate daily and weekly reporting.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work aligns with plans, specifications, and company standards.
- Enforce and monitor jobsite safety practices in compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Owners to communicate project status, resolve issues, and support strategic decisions.
- Oversee site logistics, including material deliveries, equipment usage, and site cleanliness.
- Participate in project meetings, pre-construction planning, and post-project evaluations.
- Identify and proactively address potential delays, conflicts, or safety concerns before they impact project delivery.
Qualifications :
E xperience as a Superintendent on multifamily or large commercial construction projects .Proven track record managing projects valued at $20M+ preferred.Strong understanding of building systems, construction methods, scheduling, and sequencing.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction documents, and specifications.Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage diverse teams.Proficient in construction management software (Procore, BIM 360, or similar).OSHA 30 certification preferred.High school diploma required; degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
