Utilization Management Nurse (RN) – Santa Barbara, CA

Utilization Management Nurse (RN) – Santa Barbara, CA

Hourly Rate : $50–$53 / hr

Location : On-site in Santa Barbara, CA

Schedule : Full-time, Monday–Friday (no weekends or holidays)

We're seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Registered Nurse to join a high-performing Utilization Management team supporting outpatient specialty care. This role is ideal for an experienced RN who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about ensuring patients receive timely, appropriate, and cost-effective care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical reviews for prior authorizations, referrals, and medical necessity determinations
• Collaborate with physicians, care coordinators, and insurance providers to streamline patient access to services
• Apply evidence-based guidelines and payer criteria to support utilization decisions
• Document and communicate decisions clearly and professionally within EMR systems
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and UM committee meetings as needed

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00 / hr.
