Finance Analytics Principal

Peraton is seeking a skilled and dynamic Finance Analytics Principal to join our corporate finance team. The ideal candidate will have a background in financial analysis, Excel, and Power BI, and be comfortable translating complex data into actionable insights for senior leadership. This individual will play a key role in supporting data-driven decision-making, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and providing strategic recommendations based on data analysis. This position is located at our corporate headquarters in Reston, VA.

Key Responsibilities :

• Financial Data Analysis : Coordinate analysis of financial data, identifying trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. Drive development and monitoring of action plans to improve the business from data insights.
• Reporting and Dashboards : Develop and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports to provide senior leadership with real-time insights into financial performance.
• Excel Expertise : Utilize advanced Excel skills for financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and in-depth data analysis.
• Presentation to Leadership : Present complex data findings clearly and concisely to higher leadership teams, offering actionable insights and recommendations.
• Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather data, understand business needs, and provide analytical support.
• Continuous Improvement : Evaluate and suggest improvements to existing financial reporting processes, leveraging technology and best practices to drive efficiency and accuracy.
• Data Integrity : Ensure data accuracy and consistency across financial reporting systems.
• Problem Solving & Critical Thinking : Be comfortable asking probing questions, challenging assumptions, and offering data-driven solutions to complex problems.

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
