Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist experienced in wound care for an acute care hospital setting, with BLS and NM license required.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work is in both inpatient acute care and outpatient clinic settings
  • Covers complex wound care including debridement, advanced dressing, and wound vacs
  • Collaborates with surgical teams such as plastic surgery, trauma, orthopedics, and vascular
  • Work schedule options include 5x8 hour or 4x10 hour day shifts
  • Weekend and on-call shifts are not required
  • No floating to other units or facilities is required
  • Uses Cerner for charting
  • Ceil blue scrubs are required
  • Facility is a Level I Trauma, teaching, and children’s hospital
  • Duties include wound assessment, plan of care, discharge planning, reassessments, and time management
  • Works closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes for traumatic, surgical, and chronic wounds
  • First-time travelers are welcome for this position
  • No locals accepted within a 75-mile radius
  • Time off requests longer than 7 days require prior approval

    • \n \n Requirements\n

  • Current NM Physical Therapist license required (license required if applicable)
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Experience with wound care including debridement, advanced dressing selection, and NPWT required
  • Must be able to perform AROM / AAROM / PROM, pain assessment, and complex wound management
  • COVID vaccination required; medical and religious exemptions accepted with proper documentation
  • Pending NM state license accepted for consideration
