We are looking for a dedicated Patient Access Representative to join our team in San Luis Obispo, California. This contract position focuses on facilitating the coordination of outpatient services while ensuring the accuracy of patient registration and financial information. The role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to provide excellent clerical support in a healthcare setting.
Responsibilities :
- Coordinate outpatient services and schedules, ensuring timely and accurate appointments.
- Verify and complete patient registration information, maintaining compliance with organizational policies.
- Collect and process patients' financial responsibilities, including payments and insurance-related data.
- Provide clerical support by maintaining files, updating patient records, and ensuring accurate documentation.
- Input status changes into the computer system, ensuring data integrity and real-time updates.
- Communicate effectively with patients to address inquiries regarding appointments and financial coverage.
- Follow established procedures and guidelines to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with vaccination and organizational safety requirements.
- Participate in processes related to E-Verify and provide necessary documentation when required.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to support efficient patient access and care delivery.
- High school diploma or equivalent education is required; an associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
- Strong organizational and clerical skills, with experience in maintaining accurate files and records.
- Familiarity with patient access procedures, including registration and appointment scheduling.
- Knowledge of financial data collection processes and insurance coverage.
- Ability to follow established guidelines and adapt to routine assignments.
- Experience working in a healthcare environment, particularly acute care or outpatient settings, is preferred.
- Commitment to adhering to vaccination requirements and organizational safety standards.
- Understanding of E-Verify processes and employment eligibility verification.
