Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced Applications Support Engineer to provide hands-on support for enterprise applications across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux, Windows, Unix , and J2EE-based applications , with experience in JBoss, Apache, Kafka, and Tomcat . Clear communication skills are essential for collaborating with multiple teams.
Key Responsibilities :
Provide day-to-day support and troubleshooting for enterprise applications.
Manage and maintain applications on Linux, Windows, and Unix environments.
Support J2EE platforms and application servers including JBoss, Apache, Tomcat .
Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain messaging systems such as Kafka .
Communicate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders regarding incidents, resolutions, and system updates.
Document technical procedures, configurations, and incident resolutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
5+ years of hands-on experience in application support.
Strong experience with Linux, Windows, Unix administration.
Hands-on experience with J2EE platforms and application servers : JBoss, Apache, Tomcat .
Experience with Kafka or similar messaging systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills .
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Nice to Have :
Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
Experience with monitoring and alerting tools.
Exposure to Agile or DevOps practices.
