Responsibilities and Duties
Assist with day-to-day operational tasks, including inventory tracking and order processingLearn about the features and benefits of our heavy equipment products and services to effectively communicate with potential customers.Shadow all departments during client meetings, presentations, and negotiations to gain firsthand experience in the sales process.Support the development and execution of sale, service, parts and strategies and tactics to meet or exceed goals.Support the execution of the rental process and support the overall inventory process, logistics, and organization.Using CRM software, maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales pipeline data.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and customer service, to ensure a seamless customer experience.Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats within the heavy equipment industry.Participate in process improvement initiatives and help identify operational inefficiencies.Assist in preparing sales proposals, contracts, and other documentation as needed.Participate in training sessions, workshops, and other professional development activities to enhance sales skills and industry knowledge.Provide general administrative and clerical support as needed.Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a college or university pursuing a degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish relationships with customers and colleagues.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical information clearly and concisely.Self-motivated and results-oriented with a strong desire to succeed in a sales environment.Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.Previous operations or customer service experience is a plus but not required.Knowledge of the heavy equipment industry or related sectors is preferred.Physical Requirements
Ability to navigate and walk on various terrain, including construction sites and outdoor environments.Capable of lifting and carrying equipment or materials weighing up to [weight limit] pounds.Stamina to work in physically demanding conditions, including standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.Mobility to travel to client sites, job locations, and industry events as needed.Comfortable working in diverse weather conditions, including extreme and inclement weather, typical of outdoor job sites.
