About This Role
Barkbus is a fast-growing mobile pet grooming company with a nationwide fleet of custom vans. We're looking for an experienced and reliable part-time Fleet Repair & Maintenance Specialist to help maintain and service our vehicles in top shape. This is a 1099 contract role ideal for a self-starter with experience in automotive, specialty vehicle repair and / or handyman work.
Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct Preventive Maintenance Checks & Services (PMCS) on mobile grooming vans
- Perform Tier 2 vehicle repairs, including chassis and salon system components
- Use Fleetio (mobile app) to manage assignments, inspections, and documentation
- Manage inventory of vehicle maintenance supplies to ensure availability and accuracy
- Refill fluids (DEF, windshield wiper, coolant) as needed
- Document issues with clear, timely, and detailed notes in Fleetio
- Complete new vehicle onboarding and equipment installation per company specs
- Perform van deep cleans (Type-B and Type-C) per schedule
- Adhere to defined service timelines and standards
