Job Description :

Hy-Vee is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineering Intern to join our IT team for Summer 2026. As an intern, you'll work alongside experienced engineers to design, build, and support web applications that power Hy-Vee's e-commerce, supply chain, finance, and retail operations.

This is a hands-on internship where you'll contribute to real-world projects using a modern full stack : Node.js, SQL, React, APIs, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You'll gain exposure to the full software development lifecycle while learning how to build scalable, customer-focused applications in an Agile environment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with software engineers to design, develop, and test full-stack applications.
• Write clean, maintainable code in Node.js and React.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs to connect applications and services.
• Query and manage relational databases using SQL.
• Deploy and support applications in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and team collaboration.
• Contribute to unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting application issues.
• Document code, processes, and findings to support ongoing improvements.
