Introduction Our client is a full-service veterinary hospital in Agua Dulce, California seeking an Equine / Mixed Practice Associate Veterinarian to join their team. The hospital is dedicated to providing gold-standard care for equine, small ruminant, and small animal patients, with a reputation for professional and compassionate service throughout the Santa Clarita area. Working Hours / Rota The hospital is open Monday through Saturday, offering a full range of veterinary services. The large animal practice operates as an ambulatory service, with emergency services available for all animals and 24-hour emergency coverage provided for large animals. Role Description and Responsibilities The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for delivering high-quality care across equine, small ruminant, and small animal patients. Clinical responsibilities include preventive care, internal medicine, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, lameness evaluations, and urgent care. Equine-specific services include wellness, pre-purchase and insurance exams, foot and leg care, parasite control, dentistry, eye care, internal medicine, surgery, IRAP therapy, and ultrasound-guided injections. The position offers the opportunity to work in both a clinic and ambulatory capacity with access to advanced mobile diagnostic tools. Practice Details The hospital provides a wide range of veterinary services, from preventive and internal medicine to dentistry, cold laser therapy, and surgery. Equine care is a major focus, supported by two fully equipped mobile units offering digital radiography, digital ultrasonography, and fiber optiscope evaluations. Services extend to equine wellness, lameness care, dentistry, surgery, and advanced therapies such as IRAP. The clinic has built a strong reputation in the community for quality medicine delivered with a compassionate touch. Team The practice currently has 3 DVMs working within a supportive and collaborative environment.
