Outside Service Technician - OTR

Location : Alvarado, TX

Description

Boom Country Tire is seeking an Outside Service Technician to perform general service and repairs for off-road and earthmover tires, contributing to the company's growth. We offer a competitive salary and benefits.

The technician will play a key role in service operations, performing all functions professionally and appropriately.

Job Responsibilities

  • Service customers onsite under ongoing contracts
  • Operate and maintain tire manipulators, boom trucks, and service trucks safely and efficiently
  • Obtain necessary licenses and certificates for work at customer sites
  • Maintain knowledge of OSHA and MSHA regulations
  • Dismount, balance, and mount off-road and earthmover tires at various locations using a service vehicle
  • Use hydraulic jacks, impact wrenches, and heavy tools for servicing
  • Inspect tires for repair needs and perform repairs
  • Accurately complete work orders and invoices
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections
  • Work may involve underground stone mines
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • Class B CDL or intent to obtain within 60 days
  • Valid medical card
  • Complete TIA 200 / 300 industry training
  • Ability to operate machinery with moving parts
  • Knowledge of cargo loading, unloading, and securing
  • Strong communication skills
  • Basic math, reading, and writing skills
  • Ability to lift / maneuver 75 lbs regularly and 100 lbs occasionally
  • Pass vision and physical tests for the State driving exam
  • Ability to sit, stand, squat, bend, twist, push, pull, and reach regularly
  • Pre-employment and random drug testing per DOT regulations
