Job Summary / Company : Sparks Group has partnered with a scientific association seeking a Program Specialist to play a critical role in developing the scientific program for their major national meetings and events. If you are a resourceful problem-solver who excels at managing clients, accounts, and complex systems, and wants to support the advancement of science, this may be the position for you!
What You'll Do :
You'll be the expert and primary support for volunteer program chairs, ensuring the seamless execution of the scientific agenda for our annual meetings. Your key responsibilities include :
System Expertise : Become the master user of the abstract collection and management system , performing all programming and administrative tasks within it on behalf of our member volunteers.
Volunteer Support : Manage and oversee all email communications with volunteer program chairs, serving as their dedicated Program Administrator.
Timeline Management : Oversee and manage production timelines for our society’s annual meetings, ensuring all participants meet critical deadlines for program finalization.
Quality Assurance : Conduct program integrity checks to ensure the quality of all published material .
Project Collaboration : Assist with the development and testing of member-facing applications and contribute to the broader Abstracts Team and other society-wide projects.
What You'll Bring :
Education & Experience : A BA / BS degree or equivalent experience, plus a minimum of 3 years' experience in customer-facing support and account management.
Technical Savvy : Quick to learn and excel in administrative platforms (e.g., Abstract Management Platforms, Salesforce CRM, Zoom Webinars).
Communication Skills : Strong, professional written email communication for superior customer support and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a strong team.
Organizational Mastery : Exceptional attention to detail and a proven ability to track the status of multiple open issues and manage simultaneous projects for various stakeholders.
Time Management : Skilled at proactively checking and adhering to established project timelines and working independently while providing clear status updates.
This job is Hybrid Remote.
Pay Range : Hourly $28.00 to $31.00
