Fire Protection Engineer - USA Federal Projects

We're looking for an experienced Fire Protection Engineer PE to support our US Places Design & Engineering business area in delivering Federal projects across the USA. You'll work directly with other Fire Prevention Engineers within a multi-disciplinary team environment and will lead the fire protection, fire alarm, and life safety disciplines of multiple concurrent projects through the pursuit, proposal, design, and construction phases. This is a remote role but will require domestic travel to project sites (approximately 35% of the time).

Responsibilities

• Lead design teams and mentor junior staff to develop construction-ready design packages of drawings and specifications with inter-disciplinary coordination.
• Develop budgets, proposals, schedules, project and staffing plans, and identify, qualify, and pursue potential clients and project opportunities.
• Utilize design and modeling software including Revit, BIM, Autodesk Construction Cloud, AutoCAD, HydraCAD, Navisworks, etc.
• Design fire protection systems for heavy industrial, commercial, manufacturing, and processing facilities (e.g., water and wastewater treatment sites, EV assembly plants, lithium-ion battery plants, data centres).
• Travel to project sites for fire protection site surveys, data collection for fire protection studies, and collaboration with client team members.

Benefits & Salary

Arcadis offers benefits for full-time and part-time positions, including medical, dental, vision, EAP, 401K, STD, LTD, AD&D, life insurance, paid parental leave, and other optional benefits. We provide nine paid holidays and 15 days of PTO that accrue per year. Salary range for this position is $110,000 - $175,000, with actual salaries varying based on experience, education, budget, internal equity, project, and location.
