Security Officer - Education Patrol Unarmed

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for students, faculty, and visitors. Your visibility and presence will help to deter security-related incidents, while your commitment to customer service and communication will enhance the campus experience. Pay Rate : $21.95 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTimeWed11 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AMThur11 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients, students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, while participating in emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for educational environments.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, walkways, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activities and maintain a secure atmosphere on the premises.
  • Monitor for unusual activity or potential security-related hazards, reporting observations and concerns according to site-specific procedures.
  • Assist with access control by verifying credentials and helping to direct authorized individuals to appropriate locations as needed.
  • Support the enforcement of location-specific policies and procedures to help maintain order and a welcoming environment.
  • Maintain clear and accurate logs or reports of activities, incidents, and / or observations during each shift.
  • Engage with individuals on site to provide information, guidance, or support, representing Allied Universal in a professional and approachable manner.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge system experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
