Job Title : Product Testing Technician

Position Summary

This role ensures MGM products are thoroughly evaluated for performance and compliance, serving as a key link between internal quality checks and independent third-party testing. The position provides critical support across Quality, Field Service, and Production teams, helping strengthen MGM's overall product reliability and customer satisfaction.

  • Please note that this role is physical role, primary working with your hands on the production line building and testing the product.

Responsibilities (include but not limited to)

  • Physically building products on the production line to test they pass quality assurance
  • Operate and maintain the in-house test wall to perform weekly product testing from a quality assurance standpoint.
  • Prepare and stage units for shipment to independent labs for NAFS testing, ensuring all documentation and setup requirements are met.
  • Accurately record and report test results, identifying potential issues and recommending corrective actions.
  • Assist the Quality team with inspections, audits, data collection, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide backup support for Field Service teams in investigating customer issues and performing service-related tasks.
  • Support Production as a secondary backup, including assisting with product builds, troubleshooting, or other assigned tasks.
  • Maintain a safe and organized testing environment, ensuring compliance with all MGM safety and quality policies.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate across departments.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow technical procedures.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, especially in identifying and addressing root causes of quality issues.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including clear documentation of test results.
  • Orientation toward efficiency, quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Flexible team player, able to shift between testing, quality, service, and production support as needed.
  • Work Environment

  • Capable of lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a non-conditioned environment (temperature may vary with seasons).
  • Ability to crawl, kneel, or climb ladders as required for product installation or testing.
  • Ability to stand for several hours at a time.
  • PPE Required : Safety Glasses (and other PPE as specified) on the manufacturing floor.
  • Noise level in this work environment is moderate.
  • Education & Certification Qualifications

  • No prior manufacturing experience required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and / or construction background required.
  • High proficiency with MS Office systems for documentation and coordination.
  • Experience in quality, field service, or construction-related roles preferred.
  • Bilingual (Spanish / English) is desirable.
  • Training in Lean / Six Sigma is desirable.
  • CAD proficiency is desirable.
