Hunter offers $35.75 as the starting rate with opportunities for advancement in level and pay. Some mandatory overtime.
As a Technician, Maintenance , you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines / equipment. They will maintain and repair electronic components and equipment used in any equipment or device that involves electricity.
What You’ll Do :
- Observes and follows all safety rules and wears appropriate PPE
- Must be willing and able to work overtime as an extension to a normal workday or on weekends, as scheduled
- Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning equipment
- Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts and install new or repaired parts
- Pulls wire through conduit, connect, and disconnect to electrical equipment
- Operates hand tools or portable power tools to make repairs
- Initiates purchase requisition orders for parts and machines
- Repairs electrical equipment, following all safety protocols and lock-out tag-out procedures
- Operate welding equipment as needed
- Must be able to operate a forklift, crane, and tow motor to transport materials as needed
- Operate manual or powered pallet jacks throughout the plant
- Must be able to read blueprints and / or manuals as a guide for repairs
- Perform preventative maintenance duties
- Comply with hazard communications program requirements and safety requirements
- Additional duties as assigned.
What You’ll Bring :
One year certificate from college or technical school preferred; AA degree is highly desirable2 years’ experience in industry or a combination of education and experience of at least 2 years is requiredAbility to operate a forkliftAbility to use hand tools such as hand drills and air toolsAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimalsBasic skill level of computer programs such as Microsoft Office are highly desirableRequired high (480V) and low (24 V) voltage experienceRequired residential wiring and conduit experienceRequired CNC Equipment RepairPreferred PLC & Ladder Logic ExperiencePreferred Welding ExperiencePreferred A / C ExperienceWhat We Offer :
