Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join Oasis Treatment's growth team. This role focuses on expanding our reach and developing strategic referral partnerships within the healthcare community. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare sales and marketing, with the ability to build meaningful relationships with referral sources while maintaining the highest ethical standards in behavioral healthcare.
Key Responsibilities
Partnership Development
- Build and maintain relationships with key referral sources including healthcare providers, hospitals, therapists, and community organizations
- Develop strategic partnerships with insurance providers and employee assistance programs (EAPs)
- Educate referral partners about our treatment programs, services, and clinical capabilities
- Serve as a liaison between referral sources and our clinical team to ensure smooth admissions processes
Outreach & Education
Conduct educational presentations to medical professionals, social workers, and community groups about treatment options and recovery resourcesRepresent Oasis Treatment at healthcare conferences, community events, and professional networking functionsDevelop and distribute educational materials that support informed referral decisionsCoordinate with clinical teams to ensure accurate program information is communicatedStrategic Growth
Identify underserved markets and develop strategies to expand our service reachAnalyze referral patterns and market data to identify growth opportunitiesCollaborate with marketing to develop targeted outreach campaignsMonitor industry trends and regulatory changes affecting behavioral healthcareRelationship Management
Maintain regular communication with existing referral partners to strengthen relationshipsProvide timely updates on patient progress to referring professionals (within HIPAA guidelines)Address concerns and resolve issues to maintain strong partnership satisfactionBuild trust through transparent communication and consistent follow-throughRequired Qualifications
Experience
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in healthcare business development, preferably in behavioral health, substance abuse treatment, or mental health servicesProven track record in developing referral networks and strategic partnershipsUnderstanding of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and ethical marketing practicesExperience working with insurance verification and authorization processesSkills & Competencies
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to connect with diverse stakeholdersStrong understanding of the healthcare continuum and referral processesAbility to explain complex treatment modalities in accessible termsProficiency in CRM systems and data managementValid driver's license and ability to travel within assigned territoryPreferred Qualifications
