Inspector
We are seeking a dedicated inspector to join a dynamic team. The successful candidate will ensure contractor work aligns with approved plans and specifications. This role involves reading and interpreting construction documents, inspecting materials, and documenting pay quantities for estimates. Inspectors will communicate effectively with contractors and state personnel while overseeing traffic control devices, ITS equipment, signs, pole foundations, guardrails, ramps, and crosswalks. The position requires basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of traffic control standards. This is a physically demanding role involving extensive outdoor activity such as walking, standing, and lifting up to 60 pounds.

Work Environment
Candidates will travel to various project sites throughout the state of Maryland but are tied to their Hunt Valley, MD office. The organization has 1 SHA inspector on staff and aims to add 2 more. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $68640.00 / yr.
