Job Title : Senior Civil Engineer (Onsite La Mesa, CA)

Job Type : Full-time, Onsite

Schedule : MondayFriday, 8-hour shifts

Job Summary

Viltis is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Level Civil Engineer to support our client onsite in La Mesa, CA . The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of civil design experience with a strong background in water resources, hydrology, and stormwater design . Experience working with public and private sector projects including school districts (San Diego Unified), the U.S. Navy, SDG&E, and the City of San Diego is highly valued. Candidates must be self-guided, able to work independently, and knowledgeable of local regulations .

Key Duties

  • Manage, design, and draft civil engineering plans using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Lead stormwater and hydrology design , including modeling and analysis.
  • Conduct construction inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare calculations, technical reports, and documentation for permitting and project updates.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders, agencies, utilities, and team members.
  • Stay current with San Diego County and California regulatory requirements for water resources and stormwater management.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (required).
  • 10+ years of civil design experience (required).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, and hydrologic / hydraulic modeling software.
  • Valid California Drivers License (required).
  • Ability to pass a federal background check (Live Scan).
  • Strong technical writing, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • EIT or Professional Civil Engineering License (preferred).

    • Location : Must be able to commute or relocate to La Mesa, CA 91942 .

    Work Setting : 100% onsite, in person.
