We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior CNC Machinist with expertise in both mill and lathe operations. This individual will play a critical role in optimizing our manufacturing processes and mentoring junior machinists. A background in firearms manufacturing or knowledge of firearm components is a strong plus.

Process & Production Optimization

  • Analyze and improve existing machining processes, setups, and programs for  efficiency, repeatability, and superior quality.
  • Reduce cycle times and increase throughput while maintaining tight tolerances and high standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and programming teams to enhance toolpaths, fixture design, and material handling.

Mentorship & Training

  • Train  and mentor junior CNC technicians and operators.
  • Develop and implement hands-on training programs focusing on troubleshooting, setup, inspection, and general CNC best practices.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence on the shop floor.
  • Operational Excellence

  • Interpret complex blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings.
  • Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes with minimal supervision.
  • Perform inspections using precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet specifications.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas, following all company and safety  protocols.
  • Qualifications :

  • Minimum 15 years of hands-on CNC machining experience with mills and lathes.
  • Proven ability to improve processes and deliver precision results in a production environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience mentoring or training junior staff.
  • Proficient with G-code, conversational programming, and CAM systems (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of inspection tools and quality assurance procedures.
  • Firearms industry experience or knowledge of firearm components is a strong plus.
