Portfolio Administrator
This individual will work closely with all staff members, including those in operations, client service and portfolio management, to assist in the day-to-day management of the firm's accounts and relationships. This position is required to maintain a high degree of confidentiality with respect to client and company information.
Qualifications / Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree and / or 2+ years of experience in Finance / Accounting preferred
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Highly organized and detail oriented, able to manage multiple demands and competing priorities
- Ability to work with a variety of personalities in a team environment
- Ability and desire to take on additional responsibilities to support career progression
Duties :
Assist in the trading for fixed income and equity portfolios, including :Build orders for individual accounts and block tradingMaintain and update portfolio models within our portfolio accounting systemMaintain and manage portfolio restrictionsFacilitate communication of trade order allocation details between custodians and executing brokers; research / resolve discrepancies to ensure timely trade settlementPerform post-trade compliance checks to ensure accuracy of data and compliance with portfolio rulesPrepare trade analysis reports in support of business development effortsReview and update security information within our portfolio accounting and trading systemsMaintain account-level details in portfolio accounting and CRM systemsProvide backup and cross training with other Operations staffAdhere to all the firm's Code of Ethics and Policies and Procedures, as well as its Team Agreement, which is a commitment to the following behaviors :Curiosity (avoid becoming defensive and remaining open to learning)Accountability (taking 100% responsibility (no more; no less) for results; no blaming)Candor (engaging in courageous truth-telling to increase power and speed in decisions)Awareness (tapping every emotional and intuitional resource for decisions)Passion (discovering and allowing people to do what they do best)Appreciation (expressing gratitude and fostering a culture of sincere cooperation)Perform any other duties and special projects as necessary.What We Offer :
