Medical Assistant II

Overview

• Department : Family and Internal Medicine
• Schedule : Monday-Friday; Rotation schedule between 7am-6pm and Wednesday until 6 : 30pm
• Facility : Prime Healthcare Medical Group
• Location : 205 South Northwest Hwy, Park Ridge IL

Responsibilities

This Position is  responsible for administrative as well as clinical tasks , such as maintaining patient records, preparing patients and rooms for examination, assisting physicians with exams, and performing front-desk tasks. Tasks may include appoint scheduling, answering, and returning patient calls, and coordinating daily office activities.  This position conveys a positive image of the office and provides information as needed to ensure patients are aware of all benefits of the office.

Responsible for assisting physicians with patient care, clerical, environmental and organization tasks. Responsible for appointment scheduling and chart management. Provides Information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the clinic services. Conveys a positive image of organization.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1.     High School Diploma or equivalent required.

2.     Medical Assistant Certification.

3.     Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.

4.     Minimum one year work experience in public contact job.

5.     Work experience in health care preferred.

6.     Current Phlebotomy certification or Competency required.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $19.00 to $26.00. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
