We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Medical Scheduler to join our outpatient clinic team. This role is essential in ensuring timely and accurate scheduling of patient appointments, coordinating with clinical staff, and maintaining a smooth patient experience. The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments across multiple departments including nursing, imaging, and specialty services
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations prior to appointments
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, nurses, and administrative staff
• Manage appointment changes, cancellations, and follow-ups
• Maintain accurate records in the scheduling system and ensure compliance with clinic protocols
• Respond to patient inquiries via phone, email, and in-person with professionalism and empathy
• Collaborate with transport services (e.g., EMTs, ambulance teams) when needed for patient coordination
• Monitor daily schedules to identify and resolve conflicts or gaps

The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $34.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
