Valley Children's is seeking a strategic and collaborative leader to oversee the design and administration of key hospital initiatives in Quality, Risk Management, Patient Safety, Infection Prevention, Clinical Value, and Performance Improvement. This role plays a critical part in advancing the organization's quality objectives and driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead efforts within the operations leadership team to accelerate measurable and continuous progress toward quality goals
- Drive operational improvements and efficiencies through clinical assessment, process redesign, and value-added initiatives
- Collaborate with Medical Directors, Chief Physician Executive (CPE), and other senior leaders to develop and evaluate clinical quality management programs
- Manage departmental activities including planning, budgeting, staffing, and overall coordination of work efforts
- Provide leadership and oversight for regulatory compliance, patient safety initiatives, and quality improvement projects
- Analyze and report clinical data and outcomes to ensure alignment with hospital and regulatory standards
- Support project planning and implementation of Valley Children's Healthcare's Performance Improvement (PI) model
- Facilitate surveillance, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and external agencies / vendors
- Build strong teams and foster business relationships across the organization
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on quality programs and influence strategic improvement efforts
Qualifications & Experience :
Proven experience in healthcare quality, patient safety, or performance improvement leadershipStrong understanding of regulatory standards and clinical data reportingExceptional communication, collaboration, and team-building skillsAbility to lead strategic initiatives and manage complex projects across departmentsMinimum five (5) years related experience with progressive leadership responsibility requiredAdvanced analysis and modeling skills and the ability to draw meaningful conclusions from dataKnowledge of database management software and hospital financial and clinical systemsPrefer advanced experienceEducation / Licenses / Certifications :
