We are looking for a full-time Floating Associate Veterinarian to join our Healthcare Practice Team practicing at multiple locations in SE Florida. What You\'ll Do
- Empower team to deliver an unparalleled client experience.
- Develop a rapport with clients and resolve their needs and wishes.
- Perform physical examinations and diagnostic / medical / surgical / dental procedures in a way that will deliver quality care while minimizing stress and discomfort of patients.
- Master medical skills and perform basic surgery.
- Explain physical examination findings and communicate a diagnosis of the pet's condition; generate and present a treatment plan for the pet to the client.
- Educate clients on preventative health care, including vaccines and appropriate nutritional products.
- Maintain client / patient medical / surgical records and ensure logs are kept up to date through established protocols; assist colleagues in follow-up and future management of the patient.
- Stay current with new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine; attend continuing education meetings.
- Assist in the development of the paraprofessional team to ensure the delivery of the highest quality care.
- Positively represent the clinic in the professional community and to the public.
- Support Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants as needed.
- Participate in self-development courses along with Chewy Vet Care required compliance training.
- Perform related duties and assignments by management.
- Oversee operating, safety, and compliance procedures as required by applicable law and Chewy Vet Care processes and policies.
- Position may require some travel.
What You\'ll Need
A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (DVM, VMD) is requiredActive State license in good standing, DEA license and other state credentials as required2 - 3 years' experience in general medicine and surgery; residency or internship trained2 years of supervised experience with veterinary radiation machines preferredMulti-task with a high degree of integrity and accountability.Outstanding listening and problem-solving skills, strong verbal and written communication skills.Comfortable collaborating with other veterinary professionals in a team-oriented environment.Is passionate about helping people and pets with compassion and excellent customer service focus.Ability to multi-task and perform well in a fast-paced, self-starter environment.Physical Job Requirements
Standing or walking up to 80% per shift.Frequently lift 50 to 70 pounds using an optional team lift.Occasionally lift greater than 70+ pounds using a team lift.Stand, push, pull, carry, squat, and kneel.Equal Opportunity
