Based in Traverse City, Michigan, Munson Healthcare (MHC) is a regional network of 7 hospitals and multiple ambulatory clinics serving a population of 600,000 over 11 counties. Due to continued program growth and an anticipated retirement, Traverse Bay Radiation Oncologists, PC, is seeking a highly skilled, full-time Board Certified / Board Eligible Radiation Oncologist to join our dynamic and growing practice in the picturesque community of Traverse City, Michigan.
In partnership with Munson Healthcare, the largest healthcare system in Northern Michigan, our practice delivers cutting-edge radiation oncology services in a state-of-the-art facility, offering an unparalleled opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a thriving region.
Position Highlights
- State-of-the-Art Facility : Practice at the Cowell Family Cancer Center, an 80,000-square-foot, modern facility opened in 2016. Equipped with :
- 3 Varian TrueBeam Linear Accelerators for advanced radiation therapy.
- CT Simulator for precise treatment planning.
- Dedicated HDR Brachytherapy Suite with CT and anesthesia for specialized procedures.
- Fixed PET
- Robust Team Support : Collaborate with a dedicated team including :
- 4.5 Radiation Oncologists
- 2 Nurse Practitioners
- 11 Radiation Therapists
- 4 Dosimetrists
- 5 Nurses
- 4 Medical Physicists
- Innovative Treatments : Utilize advanced technologies and protocols, including SBRT, IMRT, IGRT, and SRS, to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care. Advanced optical surface mapping for tattoo-less treatment. Recently launched radioligand therapeutic interventions for prostate and neuroendocrine tumors.
