Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with a current CA license for a day shift Emergency Department (ED) position requiring ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
Responsibilities
Work in the Emergency Department (ED) of a hospital settingCares for patients in an acute care, high-acuity ED environmentDay shift with varied start times (7 : 00am–7 : 00pm or 11 : 00am–11 : 00pm), working three 12-hour shifts per weekRequired to work every other weekendMay float to another ED within 3 miles when neededUses Epic EMR; Epic experience is preferredSchedules released in 4-week blocks based on department needsResponsible for the assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of individualized nursing care in the EDEngages in patient / family education and facilitates care transitionsCollaborates with multidisciplinary teams and promotes optimal patient experiencesMust not have been employed by the facility within the past year to be eligible as a travelerOnly one holiday off will be approved during the contract termAdditional required modules and e-learning are completed during orientationFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyRequirements
Active CA RN license required at the time of considerationCurrent AHA certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) requiredNIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required on hire or must be completed during orientationMinimum of 2 years Emergency Department RN experience requiredMust complete Sutter WPV training in person and virtually upon hireMust be available to complete lab work within 3-5 days after offer acceptanceMust live at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel assignmentBenefits
