Career Renew is recruiting for one of its clients a Public Relations Lead - Blockchain - this is a hybrid role in NYC.

We are the first parallelized layer 1 blockchain. By re-writing the most widely adopted execution environment in Web3, we are setting a new standard in blockchain performance and scalability. Apps on our blockchain benefit from both the performance of web2 and the decentralization and sovereignty of web3.

About the Role

The Public Relations Lead will help shape and tell our story to the world. This role will be responsible for building and managing relationships with key media, crafting compelling narratives, and driving visibility for us, the Development Foundation, and our Leadership across crypto and mainstream audiences. You'll work closely with leadership, product, and growth teams to ensure our communications are consistent, strategic, and aligned with our mission. This is a high-impact role for a self-starter who understands both the fast-moving world of crypto and the nuance of building a long-term brand.

Responsibilities

Lead our media relations strategy, build and nurture relationships with crypto and tech journalists across global outlets

Craft and pitch compelling stories that showcase our products, vision, and ecosystem growth

Craft and pitch compelling stories that build our Leadership profiles in tech, mainstream, and crypto media outlets

Draft press releases, media briefs, blog posts, and talking points for leadership

Manage PR campaigns around major launches, events, and partnerships

Monitor media coverage, track sentiment, and provide strategic insights and reporting

Serve as a trusted partner to our leadership for all public-facing communication

Act as a connector between our internal teams and the external communications landscape

Coordinate with external PR agencies or freelancers, as needed

What We're Looking For

Experience in PR, communications, or media, ideally with some time spent in crypto, fintech, or emerging tech

Strong relationships with top-tier media (crypto + mainstream tech / finance)

Exceptional writing skills and sound editorial judgment

Deep understanding of how narratives are built, and how to insert the right story at the right time

Ability to simplify technical concepts and communicate them clearly to broad audiences

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with many moving parts

Collaborative and confident working with execs, founders, and cross-functional teams

Nice to haves

Previous experience as a journalist or in a newsroom environment

Experience managing crisis communications or high-stakes media moments

Knowledge of crypto-native culture, memes, and how narratives form in Web3 communities

Experience scaling PR at an early-stage startup or foundation
