About the Role :
We are currently seeking a focused, creative individual to become part of the management of seasoned tax professionals :
Job description
- Review and / or prepare business, fiduciary, and personal income tax returns and training staff in tax matters.
- Engage with clients and other staff to ensure proactive tax planning.
- Prepare tax projections and consulting on tax-related matters, including complex (fun!) tax issues.
- Oversee income tax correspondence, including developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
- Building new and existing client relationships and demonstrating knowledge of client business.
- Managing multiple clients, budgets and production goals.
- Interpret the U.S. tax code.
- Research the implications of tax laws and advise clients on tax related issues.
- Manage, develop, and mentor staff / managers on projects and assess performance through formal periodic reviews and informal feedback.
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.CPA Certification.6+ years prior tax experience in public accounting.Significant supervisory experience (2 years plus).Experience preparing entities and individual tax returns.Strong accounting and analytical skills.Self-starter and team player with ability to recognize when additional hour commitments are needed and willingness to take on extra work to meet firm wide deadlines.Qualified candidates who can work in-office or hybrid schedules are strongly preferred.
Monday through Friday with Saturday during peak season (February through April & August through October)
40+ hours standard week with up to 60+ hours during peak season (February through April & August through October)
