The Machinist position located in Dixon, IL , will understand and operate basic functions on conventional and CNC machines for the production of aerospace and industrial components. This role is first shift 4 : 00 am to 2 : 00 pm, Monday through Thursday.

Role Responsibilities

Use inspection equipment to complete in-process inspection and first article reports with some supervision.

Perform basic machine maintenance as required.

Inspect the manufactured product with some supervision for uniformity, conformance, and record-keeping purposes.

Complies with all DOT, HAZMAT, and environmental policies and procedures.

Uses all designated Personal Protective Equipment as required.

Minimum Qualifications :

One year of machining experience CNC, conventional or deburr and / or CNC certificate.

Ability to demonstrate mechanical aptitude in the use of basic hand tools, and inspection equipment.

Ability to read and understand basic blueprint features and machine shop routers.

Perform a variety of tasks safely throughout the day in a fast-paced work environment.

Ability to work in a team environment toward a common goal.

Reacts to change productively and to handle other tasks as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications :

Machinist certification with a minimum of 320 hours strongly preferred

3 years' experience in an aerospace / manufacturing environment

Ability to inspect own parts.

Familiarity with Mastercam programming software.

Ability to inspect the work of, and train other employees.

Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely and prudently.

Ability to design and manufacture fixtures and tooling for various CNC machines

Hourly Rate : $25.26

Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, including but not limited to applicable work experience, training, education, and performance.

This position is eligible for an annual incentive plan based on performance and company growth.
