Under general direction of the Associate Chief of Patient Flow, in collaboration with the ACN (Associate Chief Nurse) of Critical Care, Perioperative Services, Medical / Surgical and Nurse Managers and within the Lahey Clinic Professional Practice Model, MA Nurse Practice Act and ANA Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics, supervises and expedites patient flow throughout the Lahey continuum. Oversees and coordinates hospital / clinic activities during off-shift hours. Identifies operational problems and initiates corrective action. In collaboration with the ACN of the specific clinical area and Nurse Manager, The Administrative Supervisor supervises all nursing staff in clinical patient care areas to ensure quality patient care. Areas of responsibility include :

The Administrative Supervisor maintains a current level of knowledge with management leadership skills as defined by nursing specialty organizations, complies with all regulations and standards of regulatory and accrediting bodies, and is currently licensed in the state of Massachusetts as a registered nurse.
