About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : Minimum of 2 years nursing experience required.

License : Nursing state license and / or compact state licensure.

Certifications : BCLS, ACLS preferred, Basic EKG certification required.

Must-Have : Experience in acute inpatient rehabilitation, EPIC charting system experience preferred, previous charge experience preferred.

Description :

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for caring for patients requiring rehabilitation services.

This includes those recovering from surgery, stroke, chronic heart failure, and other conditions requiring prolonged physical therapy.

The nurse will manage a patient ratio of 1 : 5 on days and 1 : 5-6 on nights.

Daily care activities will be a significant part of the role.

The nurse will collaborate with physical therapy and care management teams to ensure effective discharge planning.

Patients may have IVs and require lab draws, but it is a non-telemetry unit.

The rehabilitation unit emphasizes compassionate care through an interdisciplinary approach.

Daily therapeutic rehabilitation is mandated as part of patient care.

This role involves participating in assessments, administering medications, and closely monitoring patient progress.

Candidates must demonstrate the capability to provide quality patient education and engage in effective communication with patients and team members.

Strong skills in patient evaluation, intervention, and documentation are essential.

A team-oriented mindset is crucial for success in this role.
