Position Summary

Newman Regional Health (NRH), a leading critical access hospital located in Emporia, Kansas, is seeking a part-time Inpatient Medical Rehabilitation Director to join our dedicated team. This position offers a competitive salary and the opportunity to work within a top-quality Inpatient Rehabilitation department. We are committed to patient-centered care and a collaborative approach to healthcare.

Our 10-bed acute inpatient medical rehabilitation unit offers patients the opportunity to recover from serious illness, injury, or debility close to home, and includes a simulated living suite for occupational therapy. Our facility provides the only such program inside a critical access hospital in Kansas.

This position offers a meaningful opportunity to serve a diverse patient population while collaborating with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. The Inpatient Medical Rehabilitation Director will collaborate with the entire clinical team to provide medical direction in conformance with the facility’s policies and procedures, state and federal laws and regulations.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Educational Requirements : MD or DO degree with board certification in either Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
  • Experience : Three years of clinical experience including work in rehabilitative services, preferred
  • Licensure : Currently licensed to practice medicine in Kansas
  • Interpersonal Skills : Strong community engagement and communication skills
