A company is looking for an Insurance Specialist to manage financial and insurance information for patients.
Key Responsibilities
Verify the accuracy and completeness of financial and insurance information for patient admissions and outpatient services
Obtain and confirm benefit, co-pay, deductible, and co-insurance information while ensuring all insurance requirements are met
Resolve issues related to insurance accounts, including determining primary insurance and COB information
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Two years of experience in healthcare insurance eligibility, verification, or billing in a medical setting
Experience with insurance payor systems
EPIC training or experience preferred
Knowledge of ICD-10 medical terminology preferred
