Job Title : Mechanical Plumber

A Mechanical Plumber is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining commercial plumbing systems, including reading blueprints, installing pipe systems, and conducting system tests. Key duties include collaborating with project teams, ensuring safety standards are met, and providing on-the-job training for apprentices. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge of commercial plumbing, adherence to safety and building codes, and communication skills to work with clients and other trades.

Core responsibilities

• Installation : Installing water supply, waste, and drainage systems in commercial buildings
• System maintenance and repair : Performing preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, and troubleshooting issues in various plumbing systems
• System testing : Conducting pressure and leak tests to ensure system integrity
• Blueprint and code adherence : Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and building codes for installations
• Collaboration : Working with project managers, foremen, and other trades to ensure projects stay on schedule
• Safety : Following all company policies and OSHA safety standards, and potentially conducting safety briefings
• Documentation : Maintaining accurate logs, as-built documents, and tracking material usage

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00 / hr.
