job_description.job_card.job_descriptionThe Quality Inspector performs quality inspection / quality audits on incoming material using hand gaging and visual techniques to determine conformance to specifications and fitness for use. Contains non-conforming parts and / or sub-assemblies. Rectifies non-conforming material by rework, sorting and / or scrapping as directed by Team Leader. Uses methods such as de-rusting, grinding, drilling, tapping, assembly and / or disassembly to rectify non-conforming material. Determines the tools and equipment needed to do the job. Grinds, sands, cleans and oils parts and / or sub-assemblies by using hand tools or equipment. Communicate sort / inspection results to managers, supervisors and production source. MUST be able to use basic hand tools such as gaging, drills, taps, grinders and / or sanders to repair and / or clean parts and / or sub-assemblies. Utilize company portal for time recording and policy acknowledgements. Proficiency in English Excellent written and verbal communications skills Ability to Coordinate, prioritize and multitask Demonstrated flexibility within a fast-paced, challenging environment Ability to take initiative and recognize needs Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential material Ability lift / move 30 pounds Must have reliable transportation 1+ year in Quality related position. Basic knowledge of materials and production processes. Basic knowledge of quality control methods.
