job_description.job_card.job_descriptionRequirements : Associate degree in biology, chemistry, or related life science. (Bachelor preferred) Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with colleagues, leadership and other departments Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook), Intermediate (or higher) proficiency with Excel preferred. Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices Previous experience working in a clinical laboratory preferred Pay Range : $22 / hr - $26 / hr All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees / certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. Benefits : Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including : Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD / LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. We are currently seeking a motivated Laboratory Technician to join our team in Baltimore, MD!
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Primarily participates in management of biomaterials, including receipt, accessioning and shipping
- Supports primary sample processing through nucleic acid extraction
- Assists with routine lab and equipment maintenance
- Assists with reagent qualification
Assists in SOP drafting and revision, where applicable
Work schedule Tuesday - Saturday (8 : 30 - 5 : 00pm)
