Overview

We are seeking a Video Producer . The Video Producer is an experienced visual storyteller who applies editorial expertise and a creative eye to the production of video content that successfully promotes Johns Hopkins University and its brand. This Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) role includes responsibilities related to a project manager, producer and video editor who can capture an audience by bringing to life nuanced stories about science, technology, and engineering in unique, quirky, and surprising ways. The Video Producer will use the Center’s production process to create video content as part of the video team. This includes transcription ordering, editing, working quality control staff, working with the production coordinator, instructional designers and other members of the team to produce academic content.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

• Creates public health video content aimed at domestic and international learners, including short-form, documentary-style videos produced for and regularly published online in Course Plus, Courseara or other CMS / LMS platform.
• Manages budget and deliverable deadlines associated with individual projects.
• Collaborates with broader production team to manage multiple video production projects from start to finish, often on tight deadlines.

• Manages client consultation, needs assessment and metrics for success, development of concepts, treatments, and storyboards, script writing, field producing, interviewing, and editing of the final product.
• Performs other related duties as requested.
