BrightStar Care is seeking a Senior Director of Product Management to lead product vision and strategy, from conception to launch, partnering across the business and stakeholder groups to ensure product value is delivered and roadmaps are built and maintained. Manage Product Owners aligned to triads and delivery teams to oversee delivery execution. Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the overall product strategy, vision, and roadmap in alignment with organizational goals and market trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, domains, and individuals—including Engineering, UI / UX Design, Marketing, Sales, and Clinical —to ensure successful product planning, execution, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Mentor and develop Product Owners and team members to promote a culture of innovation, customer-centricity, and high performance.
  • Establish and monitor product KPIs and metrics to evaluate product performance and inform continuous improvement efforts.
  • Engage regularly with stakeholders to gather feedback, prioritize features, and balance business needs with technical and clinical constraints.

Required Skills REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated success in leading product management functions within a technology-driven organization, preferably in healthcare, SaaS, or related industries.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing comprehensive product strategies that align with both business objectives and user needs.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, leveraging data-driven insights to guide decision-making and prioritize product initiatives.
  • Experience working in agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful products on schedule.
  • EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field required; advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is highly desirable.
  • Relevant certifications in product management or agile methodologies are considered an asset.
  • EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in product management, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior strategic role.
  • Direct experience overseeing the launch and lifecycle of technology products from ideation through market release is required.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance in digital health solutions or SaaS deployments is strongly preferred.
  • SKILLS / ABILITIES

  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior product managers, fostering growth and enhancing team performance.
  • Advanced proficiency with product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and analytics platforms to drive efficiency and visibility.
  • Adaptability to evolving market trends and emerging technologies, ensuring products remain competitive and relevant.
  • Strong understanding of customer experience design, with the capability to translate user feedback into actionable product improvements.
  • Experience managing budgets and resource allocation for product initiatives, optimizing for both impact and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment to meet critical deadlines.
  • Expertise in conducting market research and competitive analysis to inform product positioning and strategy.
  • Proven commitment to fostering an inclusive and innovative culture within cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working with clinical healthcare tools, including collaboration with clinicians to ensure product solutions meet patient care standards.
  • Familiarity with clinical workflow optimization and integration of digital products into healthcare settings, supporting both operational efficiency and improved patient outcomes.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements unique to clinical healthcare, such as HIPAA and other patient privacy standards.
  • WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Travel to the Bannockburn IL office on a monthly basis
  • Work environment – Fast-paced, collaborative, and dynamic work environment with a focus on teamwork and meeting tight deadlines
  • Hours – 8am to 5pm; after hours work as needed, emergency on-call for security incidents
