Commercial Construction Assistant Project Manager

A leader in the Commercial General Contracting industry is seeking an experienced and highly organized Commercial Construction Assistant Project Manager to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in the oversight and management of all aspects of commercial construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards. The Assistant Project Manager will collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to achieve project goals and deliver successful outcomes.

Qualifications :

• Preferred but not required - Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Commercial Construction Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager, with a track record of successful project delivery.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Proficient in project management software and tools.

Responsibilities :

Project Planning and Scheduling :

Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.

Team Leadership :

Lead and motivate project teams, including internal staff and subcontractors.

Budget Management :

Monitor project budgets and financial performance, identifying and addressing any deviations.

Quality Assurance :

Implement and enforce quality control measures to meet and exceed project specifications.

Client Communication :

Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress.

Risk Management :

Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.

Contract Administration :

Review and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
