Job Description

We are seeking a Family Medicine Physician with a focus on pediatric care for a locum tenens assignment in California. This opportunity begins on Feb 2, 2026, and spans 32 days, offering a part-time schedule with day shifts, Monday through Friday. The physician will join an outpatient intergenerational health center, providing primary care to patients from infancy through age 18. Spanish-speaking skills are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide outpatient pediatric care in a family practice setting
  • Oversee patient coverage for 20-25 cases per eight-hour shift
  • Manage cases for patients from birth through 18 years of age, including infants and newborns
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team across primary care, dental, and dermatology services
  • Utilize Athenahealth EMR for patient documentation and care coordination
  • Additional Information

  • Active California medical license required
  • Board certification in Family Medicine required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Minimum of 2 years of physician experience preferred
