We are looking for a detail-oriented Collections Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Tustin, California. In this role, you will play a key part in managing client accounts, ensuring timely payments, and resolving billing issues efficiently. Responsibilities :
- Conduct daily outreach to clients for payment collection and account updates.
- Negotiate and establish payment plans to address outstanding balances.
- Accurately record and post payments to client accounts.
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies to ensure account accuracy.
- Maintain detailed records of all communications and transactions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline collection processes and improve efficiency.
- Monitor accounts to identify overdue payments and take appropriate action.
- Provide clients with clear explanations of payment terms and account updates.
- Review account statuses regularly to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in collections or a related field.
- Proficiency in handling billing functions and cash collections.
- Familiarity with B2B and consumer collections processes.
- Strong analytical skills to resolve billing discrepancies effectively.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks.
- Knowledge of commercial and third-party collections is preferred.
- Experience with credit and insurance collections is an asset.
