Maintenance Associate

Overview

The Maintenance Associate position is responsible for general maintenance and repairs to maintain facilities and equipment, safety systems, electrical systems, basic carpentry, HVAC systems, grounds, and other processes that support the vision of Bonclarken, which is to provide a place of inspiration and renewal for our guests.

Essential Functions

• Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain facilities at Bonclarken, including but not limited to guest rooms, dining room, plumbing, lighting, HVAC, and grounds.
• Provide emergency / unscheduled repairs of equipment and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of equipment.
• Perform handyman tasks and responsibilities.
• Perform skills, including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting, and repair of all buildings and equipment on the grounds of Bonclarken.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on grounds, equipment, and facilities.
• Perform a variety of plumbing, electrical maintenance, and carpentry functions.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
• Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
• Comply with OSHA safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Embody a friendly and positive attitude with a hands-on approach in working with the entire Bonclarken staff and volunteers to meet the needs of our guests.

Position Type / Hours of Work

This is a part-time position, Monday through Friday, with a maximum of 30 hours worked per week, including some after-hours and weekend work as necessary to meet the needs of our guests. Pay will be based on experience.

Travel

No travel is expected for this position.
