Locums - Primary Care PhysicianLocation : San Mateo, California (Northern California - South of the Bay Area)Setting : Geriatric Outpatient Clinic (FQHC - Federally Qualified Health Center)Start Date : Late December / Early JanuaryContract Length : 3 months (with option to extend) Schedule

  • Days : 4-5 days per week
  • Hours : 8 : 30 AM - 5 : 00 PM
  • No Call / No Weekends

Patient Details

  • Volume : 14 patients per day
  • Population : 100% Medicare / Medicaid - high need, high complexity
  • Age Range : Exclusively patients aged 60+ (many in 80s / 90s)
  • Language Diversity : Multilingual population - bilingual Spanish strongly preferred
  • Support Staff : Strong RN and clinician support

    • Job Expectations

  • Continuity geriatric care (not a teaching setting)
  • Must be comfortable with complex public health / FQHC populations
  • Procedures : Pap smears, basic STD diagnosis

    • Requirements

  • Board Certification :
  • Internal Medicine - Required
  • Geriatric Board - Preferred but not required
  • Family Medicine - Accepted for the right candidate
  • Board Eligible - Case-by-case; must be current in practice
  • Experience :
  • Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience
  • Geriatric-focused care experience strongly preferred
  • Licenses / Certifications :
  • Active California Medical License - Required
  • DEA - Required
  • BLS - Required
  • EMR : Epic - must be proficient with fast charting
