About the Role :

As a Freight Broker Container / Drayage, your main responsibility will be to facilitate the transportation of goods by coordinating with shippers, carriers, and customers. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of freight by managing the logistics and documentation involved in container and drayage shipments. Your ultimate goal will be to provide exceptional service to clients and ensure timely delivery of goods while maximizing profitability for the company.

Responsibilities :

• Coordinate and manage the transportation of goods by working closely with shippers, carriers, and customers.
• Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers to ensure cost-effective and efficient transportation solutions.
• Track and monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues or delays that may arise.
• Prepare and process necessary documentation, such as bills of lading to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and carriers to foster long-term partnerships and drive business growth.
• Ensure company standard operating procedures (SOP) compliance.
• Promotes and develops safe work behaviors.
• Engage with customers / vendors to build positive relationships and excellent service to meet margin goals.
• Coordinate with sales team pricing and bidding on new business and drive sales success.
• Spot market analysis of prices and Carrier pay.
• Carrier procurement, retention, and safety compliance.
• Other projects and duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

Works in a standard office environment with some travel to other locations as needed (i.e. other facilities, staff events, training, etc.).
